Social media audits

When did you last have a social media audit?

Conversation Prism 5.0There’s no mistaking it. We live in a very connected world.  The Conversation Prism was first launched in 2008 by Brian Solis and JESS3, around the time when social media started to take off. Earlier this year, version 5.0 was released. Designed as a visual representation of the places where conversation is happening online, it has grown increasingly complex as new networks and platforms have emerged.

Ask yourself – how many of these channels have you used as an individual?…

But perhaps more importantly, how many is your business using?…

And are you saying the right things while you’re there?…

And if you’re not there, what are people saying about your brand that you might not be present to hear?

Worried now?

There’s no need to be. However, your natural instincts are probably also telling you that you need to be everywhere. All the time. And you need to be there RIGHT NOW! And you’re probably worrying about how you’re going to come up with all of that content, find interesting things to say about it, and once you’ve done all of that, find time in the day to schedule it (and how on earth is one supposed to choose between all the scheduling tools anyway!).

In reality…

Yes I admit it, I did start with the Conversation Prism to un-nerve you, just a little bit (sorry!). But the point is a serious one – we live in a digital world. However, you don’t need to be absolutely everywhere, all of the time. There really is no need. It’s much better to do a couple of channels really well, rather than try and spread yourself too thinly, drive yourself crazy and most importantly, provide a sub-optimal experience for your customers in the process.

Still worried?

If you’re still worrying, it’s probably time for a social media sanity check. Or in more serious terms, a ‘Social Media Audit’. We all need a pair of fresh eyes and by conducting an independent review of your channels, I will reassure you where things are going well, guide you where you’re unsure, provide you with bespoke recommendations tailored to your needs and objectives, and teach you a few tips and tricks along the way. I will produce a written report of my findings, and then meet with you, either in person or via Skype, to go through everything. You’ll even have the opportunity to ask any questions or clarify anything that isn’t quite working as it should.

So if you and your business would benefit from a social media audit, why not get in touch and we can get started!
